FREE Build-A-Brain Family Workshop: Saturday 8/2, 10:30-11:30am

Huntington Woods Public Library
26415 Scotia Rd, Huntington Woods, MI 48070

This program is neither sponsored, nor endorsed, by the Huntington Woods Public Library.

The Build-A-Brain Workshop is co-sponsored by Stewart SLP and the University of Michigan Speech Neurophysiology Lab.

In this hands-on activity, you will get to build and wear your own 3D brain hat made of colorful, pre-cut paper. As you put your hat together, you’ll learn about different parts of the brain—specifically about the areas that help us speak and understand language.

The University of Michigan Speech Neurophysiology Lab will guide you through this activity and answer your biggest brain-related questions. They will also present an anatomically accurate 3D brain model for those who want to explore the brain more in depth. This is a fun, hands-on way to spark curiosity about how the brain works and learn more about speech and language!

This event is geared toward children age 4-11 years accompanied by adults, though it’s fun for all ages!

Registration is required for attendance at Build-A-Brain. There is no charge for this free community event.
